Ch.126: Those Caught in Waves

  I stood there just……why?

Who the fuck did this?! I reached up and tore the paper off the bulletin board.

‘We have your fuck toy. If you don’t perform with our listed demands, then you might never see the little donut again. First you are to msdhnjbafb isah fkshjkfhbjk skje-’

My muscles burned, my heart was smming a desk, my eyes. Oh fucking eyes. All I could feel was the swirling and fres of fire, how it carved into my flesh, raking gorges of blood. The heat wanted fuel.

  Suddenly I felt hungry.

I turned and slowly walked. No, I was stomping, my cws digging into the floor like it was muddy sand. It was nothing more, I just needed to find the back door. Back door, back door, back door, back door, back door, back door.

Where is one? Where are you? Where IS THAT DOO-

I felt something bump into me, so I quickly shook it off with my right arm, getting rid of the fly. Now where is that door? My eyes kept shifting side to side, past every hallway. I did bump into a few more things, some flies and crap but I’m sure it’ll be fixed up, they got people…..OH!

There’s a door! I was at it in an instant then I was outside, the cool air vacuumed into my scorching lungs. I looked around then spotted the pointed rocks by the mountain and saw a rge group far in the horizon. Just standing there, standing to give me a target. And that’s where I’ll go. Where they have Belle.

“What the hell just happened in here?!” Shouted an Orc teacher, presenting himself with his shoulders held high.

Right outside his css he heard a quick whoosh followed by some light fshing behind his door then a cry. And when he opened his door to gre at the world, he was met with a familiar sight.

“Did one of the samander students do this?!” He asked a nearby student whose face was a frozen painting shock. He held the student’s shoulders and let his mana flow into her.

The harpy suddenly took a deep sharp breath. She looked up at the teacher with wide eyes. “A red Inspector.” Was all she would say as she turned to look down the hall.

A hall that was torn to shreds. Each dragged cw mark flickered with shrinking fmes, the triple condensed concrete and hardened under wood appeared to be bleeding with fme. Cut through as if it were melted pstic. An enraged minotaur couldn’t even scratch the top yer. But this? Cw marks that raked across the hall, cutting out a new main path through the middle. In some spots, the gashes left the floor as a bright white goo that slowly pooled into the scars cut into the ground.

“A-a-an inspector?” He said with a quiver as he slowly slouched back into his cssroom. “R-r-red…” He stuttered. He almost fell off his seat as he tried to sit down, his eyes lost a thousand yards away.

“Oh my god-oh my goddess-oh my god-oh m-” A pink eyed maju-mew cried, running side to side by a rge Minotuar ying on a blue puddle.

“Sister!” Gce shouted while gripping her shoulders. His sister just kept muttering to herself like a broken record. When his shaking didn’t work, Gce’s eyes narrowed into a disappointed gre. “I’m moving out.” She said coldly.

His sister froze, looked at her little brother, her eyes filling with tears. “B-b-but broo-oower! I l-l-lub you!” She cried rivers as she reached out to trap him in a hug. Gce, ever the sweetheart, quickly escaped and grabbed her wildly swishing tail. Pulling his crybaby over to the knocked out minotaur like she was a dead duck.

“Just help me out and I’ll reconsider.” Gce said as he rolled his eyes.

“Ok.” His sister wiped her eyes and helped roll the minotaur off the writhing puddle. The puddle quickly came back together clumping into a round shape, the slime’s surface vibrating like waves.

“This is the fourth time! I’m a doctor! Not a pillow! Not an ice pack! Or a salve! I’M A. DOCTOR!” Raged the slime, its voice sounding like an angry A.I. inches from a warpath. It even bounced in pce to emphasize its standing.

Gce stared at them like the slime had a turd floating inside its body. “Dr, there’s another four Oni, two more minotaurs and three different demons. Two of which have broken ram horns.” She reported to the slime who stopped bouncing and rolled in a tight circle.

“That many? Then I can’t wait pooling around here!” The slime quickly stretched out a tentacle to Gce, giving her a ziplock with gummies inside. “Feed the patient four of the pink ones and one red. His ribs will be fine after that.” With that done, the slime rolled through a tiny door, rushing to the next student.

“Doctor?! Doctor?!” Another Maju-mew rushed into the room, saw the sniffling one and turned to Gce. “Did you see the dr? We just got five more students and one has a broken arm!” She quickly reported with a nervous look.

“He just left for the next patient. Did you tell the others to start the calming magic?” He asked with a calm voice, his eyes sharp, ready for any new complications.

The girl quickly nodded, her tail swishing and curling in anxiety. “Yes, I sent the request before I left.” She gave him a quick nod before stepping back and turning, leaving Gce and his teary eyed sister to the injured minotaur.

“So, we’ll check the fiction section. Surely one amongst those space travel books will give us an entry or some clue. I also suggest we send a team to the forbidden demon tomes, make sure they take earplu-” A girl hidden in a veil expined to the man beside her when someone smmed the doors open.

A thin teen had rushed in only to be tackled to the ground by a squire. The very ordinary looking squire pressed his foot into the wiggling intruder’s back, a look of anger and disgust on his face.

“My priestess! I com-AH! BAD NEW-AGHH!” The child wailed as the squire pressed harder for every sentence they began without waiting for approval. “INSPECTOR!” They shouted. The squire stopped, the veiled priest froze and the man beside her shifted to the left. They all stopped and stared at the teen, as if they were waiting for them to continue or perhaps pretending they didn’t hear correctly.

“You are allowed your peace.” The priestess said, being the first to regain their head.

The anger in the squire’s face vanished as he quickly bent over and lifted the teen back onto their feet. The squire held his neutral gre as he whipped the dirt off the teen except for where he had stomped. A reminder to seek forgiveness in their freetime.

“EHM! T-t-the inspector was seen bzing down the halls by the art and flight csses. The red abomination then ripped the door to the gardens off its hinges and burned a trail to Dragon’s disgrace.” The teen quickly shot out, their eyes on the desk in remembered respect.

The priestess lowered her shoulders, rexing her stiff back and looking up to the ceiling for a second. “When did they enter the school? And what is it that they have judged?” She calmly asked, a deep frown on her face.

“N-no one saw them come in……… Uh, only that they were red and rampaged their way through the school.” They quickly expined.

The pale priestess raised a hidden brow at that before she tapped a finger on her desk. “I see…” she thought for a moment longer when her frown vanished into a grin. “The inspector is not here for us.” She turned the squire. “Pull back every and anyone near or observing the gardens and the mountain. Go now.” She commanded and the squire gave a quick nod before rushing off.

She turned to the man beside her and whispered. “Send a few to the nurse’s office and a team to the art gallery. Ignore the library for now.” She ordered, the man nodded. He then took a step backward into the darkness, vanishing as if he was never there.

She looked back at the teen who was staring at the floor. The teen now aware they were being looked at began to tremble. When she reached into her desk the teen flinched back, trying to protect their head with a shoulder. The priestess held her smile, keeping a neutral look as she pulled out a document and pced it on the table.

“This is for you. Follow it to the letter and the sun may hold you in higher regard.” She informed them.

The teen took the holy prophecy and lowered their head. “I will treasure this faith.” They said with tears rolling down their face.

“You may go. May the Sun and all her saints steady your hand.” She said her farewell.

Sitting at her desk a purple succubus sat, reading her notes for any missed detail so her newest spell wouldn’t colpse. She slid her finger over a brown paper, dragging a floor into view. It had several halls and rooms and one room circled and noted as a slime cube. Taking a few extra notes on the side before turning back to a book with several runes shaped into circles and triangles.

Her phone buzzed a few times before she picked it up.

“Hello…………..…I see. No that won’t be necessary. The inspector may believe we are at fault if we approach……..Yes, keep your distance.” She hung up before pulling up another number to call.

“It appears we need to fund an inspector campaign before the school’s admins get involved…….Good. I’ll transfer a few your way.” She hung up and dialed another number, this time a smile decorating her face.

“Floor’s Delta?.........Yes…..no…..” She pushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she listened. “While I understand you watch the gardens, it is equally true the new flora students have been acting up………….Why all I hope is to allow fellow students to learn why you do not mess with an inspector………..Yes, we pn to handle the details. Can I count on the admins’ corporation?..........” She nodded a few times before hanging up.

She sighed while her spade tail tapped her desk’s edge. “What will you do next Oliver?” She asked as a smile grew across her face. Her tail prodding her desk as she fantasized of whims and the magic she hoped to learn.

“At long st, the power my kind carries will be honed and sharpened like a mastered technique.” The rge blood red Oni spoke to herself. She quickly secured her decorative gauntlets that bore the crest of an Oni horn sword, a crest her family worked hard to earn. Worked harder to keep amongst the demon council and the other Honor Bands. She pulled on every piece of decorative armor she had, adjusting it to fit her body perfectly. She finished her preparation by taking white paint and streaking her fingers over her three horns. Drawing white lines across her crown, only stopping until there were twenty seven total. Before she left to meet her arrogant foe, she adjusted her sleeves, revealing her crescent scars.

She eyed herself in the mirror, made her final adjustments and bowed her head. She left her locker room and made her way to the mountain’s feet. But oddly halfway there she noticed a few glowing fairies zig-zagging around several vulvaflora. The pnt monsters trying to swat them with vines while the fairies zapped them with bursts of wind and earth magic. Neither side going for a decisive blow which only made Danuta shake her head, a deep frown on her face.

The frustrated pnts would have to learn yet again to temper their lust, just like every year a new generation entered. She turned away and continued up the path near the edge of the giant ent forest where she could make out the movement of their roots under the thick soil. She kept her distance from the lower branches and their needle like leaves, even the soft moss that clung to the giant’s bark was respected. The forest of giants was quiet and peaceful when one looked above the slithering and burrowing roots that constantly shifted soil. The ground on the other hand was a mass roots and occasional vines one would confuse it for a mia cn reunion.

She went on until meeting the first torch pnted in the ground. The closer she got the more torches marked a path. She passed several of the uprooted rock forming huge cliffs and around huge pits filled with bck stone and grass. Taking a deep breath filled her nostrils with an odd scent of dried spices half grounded into powder. A scent many would cringe away in disgust or coming pain but her lips spread into a wide smile

The line of torches leading her up and down a rolling hill, the only one that could be seen for miles. It was there near the st one’s edge that rested a wall of rocks so tall they formed cliffs that pointed towards the sky. A line of torches sat across the rising cliffs, each torch paired with a sentinel this created a sight simir to a spiked fortress wall of bck. The hill led right between two pointed cliffs that formed the silhouette of a huge arch and opened into a crater. It was a ringed with a path, carved doorways into the rock and seats facing the deepest part of the crater.

As Danuta took four steps down the stairs into the second ring of seats, many of the Oni began to stamp rge staffs to the ground. Creating a deep and haunting rhythm that would carve fear into the hearts of soldiers. Once she entered the third ring, mia began to chop their tails down, the bracelets attached to their tails ccked. The bracelets having spaded shaped ptes, the ccking sound added a rattle to the stamping staffs. Once she entered the fourth ring, centaurs rapidly stomped their right then left front hooves, creating a quick drumming beat. Once she reached the center, she slowly walked over to a raised ptform made of rock and coated in a fine dust yer. Once she reached the middle, two minotaurs at either side smmed their hand into a leather drum cradled under their arms.

The drum rang out, its thunderous rage silencing all as it echoed up the crater and out to the skies above. All of the monsters looked at her. At the Blood Bruiser.

Her arm shot up, dispying an open palm to all. Everyone turned to face her form.

“Today, We learn who is truly fit to lead you. Today, we witness true strength and technique. Today, we will find what is lie and what is truth. Today I will prove to you all I am fit!” She shouted to everyone who all raised their arms and shouted.

She lowered her arm and walked to the waiting room. “Now I’ll crush my fears.” She whispered.
